TALKS: Interview with Halle Morse & Ito Aghayere of Classical Theatre of Harlem’s Midsummer Night’s Dream

I had a chance to interview two Classical Theatre of Harlem cast members earlier last week and wanted to share them with you! Ito Aghayere is a Canadian born Nigerian-American thrilled to be making her Classical Theatre of Harlem debut as Lysandra in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She recently made her off-Broadway debut at Classic Stage Company as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and again as Hecate in MacbethRecent New York Theater Credits: The Obeah Symphony (Billie Holiday Theater), Sojourners (BAM – New Black Fest), Orchestra (Manhattan Theater Club). Recent Film Credits: Wet Behind the Ears (2013). As a former White House intern, she continues to pursue her passion for politics and is a recent Duke University graduate in political science and performance studies, and 2012 Columbia University graduate from the Masters program in the School of the Arts. Halle Morse spent three years on Broadway as Lisa in Mamma Mia! Regional credits: Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly! (North Carolina Theatre), Mimi Marquez in Rent (Pioneer Theatre Company), Little Inez in Hairspray (Sacramento Music Circus), Oklahoma! and Hello, Dolly! at The St. Louis Muny Theatre, Blues in the Night at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, and West Side Story at Porthouse Theatre, among others. Halle holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music (CCM). She can be seen on MTV, Nickelodeon, and various commercials nationwide.
