This is an excellent opportunity for an applicant with a passion for any of the following: theatre, diversity, NYC. We’re looking for help in the areas of event planning, writing, film production, marketing, and web design. Responsibilities will vary for each area. Read on to learn more!
Film Production: AIC has some great media opportunities coming up including interviews with top NYC theatre artists on and off Broadway, but we need your help! Interested in film (incl post production)? Looking to build your portfolio? Have your own basic equipment (or access to some)? Let us know.
Marketing: We want to let people know about Arts in Color. Help us design a press kit and more! Have ideas about spreading the word? We’re open.
Special Events: We’ve got a couple event ideas up our sleeves to bring the theatre artist of color community together, but we need your help to execute it! Love event planning? This may be the spot for you.
Writing: AIC has a weekly roster of columns (and we’re open to new ones). If you’d like to write regularly, or attend shows go ahead and apply.
Web Design: The AIC website is in need of a face lift and you could be instrumental to that change.
Schedule: Flexible schedule (no minimum or maximum hours). NYC is a busy place so we’ll work with what you’ve got!
Pay: Unpaid positions. There are, however, occasional complimentary tickets to shows here in NYC and coffee/tea! You would also be an important part of raising awareness about diversity in the theatre world as well as helping create community.
