Rising Circle Theater Collective, is having a Theatre workshop for Asian American, South Asian and Indo Carribean teenage girls! The workshop is especially geared towards Empowerment – creating new works and nurturing new voices through movement, theater and improv. Launched in 2010, Q Up is a FREE theatre and movement workshop for Asian American and South Asian girls and young women who live or attend high school/college in NYC.  Q Up participants will meet and work with professional Asian American and South Asian female artists from April 16-April 19, 2014, at the Chain Theatre in Long Island City.  The program is designed to empower Asian American and South Asian young women through access to the arts and artists using the tools of theatre and storytelling.

Q Up is a project of the  Rising Circle Theater Collective and is a recipient of funding from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and Asian Women Giving Circle.
