Amazing Grace, the new Broadway musical currently playing at the Nederlander Theater is a biomusical about John Newton and the story behind the famous Christian hymn published in 1779. The tale also features fictitious characters who add to the historical drama, such as Nanna. Auditions for SINGER/ACTORS of color as well as THEATRE TECHNICIANS for an original experimental opera called ‘Hacked: the Treasure of the Empire’. ‘Hacked’ will go into production in Brooklyn NY and tour the East Coast of the US and Canada. The Caravan Stage Company, (www.caravanstage.org) is a professional theatre company that travels and performs with a diverse and international cast on its own 90 ft Sailing/Theatre Ship. The Caravan creates original experimental theatre/opera encompassing the themes of human and political rights, social and environmental justice. The cast and crew live, work, and sail on the Caravan’s theatre ship, the Amara Zee.
